Santa Fe Drive has been dubbed an Art District of Denver. The first Friday of every month the galleries open their doors to Denverites that stream through with a glass of cheap wine in hand. It’s definitely an experience and you can meet the artists face to face. But I’m not sure what to think about the so called burgeoning art zone. It feels like a semi seedy street in Denver nestled between the other side of the tracks and blue collar industry. And it probably ‘feels’ like that because Santa Fe is just that…on the other side of the tracks alongside the cable cars of coal, granite, and steel. But, you can accept Santa Fe for all its hipsterness and stroll the streets snapping your own artistic photos of mosaics, deserted buildings, and creepy statues.
