Easter weekend in Prague

Prague has been on my hit list ever since we moved to Europe. Sam traveled to Prague for a work trip (also over Easter) a couple of years ago. He even wrote a guest post🙂 This Easter we went with 4 other friends and rented an apartment. I knew to expect beautiful, old architecture and history. But, because I left the guide book at home we were all pretty lost regarding the actual history of Prague. We relied on wikipedia (when we had wifi) to provide explanations about the statues lining Charles Bridge and the astronomical clock in the old town square. Fascinating.

Czech cuisine consisted primarily of slabs of pork, goulash, and beer. I’ve included a picture for you below. If you’ve ever come back from vacation craving large platefuls of spinach and cucumbers you can relate to a 3 day weekend in Prague.
